Brushing hair
Brush your hair at least three a day once you start your day, during the day, and before going to bed to avoid tangles and/or matting. It is important to keep your hair thoroughly brushed out daily. We recommend a wide tooth detangling brush. When combing hair make sure to brush from tips to roots and work in sections. Be gentle. This will prevent breakage or damage to the hair.
Washing hair
We advise washing the hair weekly or bi-weekly. Always detangle and brush the hair before washing hair. This makes the process a lot easier.
- Apply a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo hair. Use lukewarm water and gently massage the shampoo through your hair.
- Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to remove all traces of shampoo.
- Apply a generous amount of conditioner to the hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all traces of conditioner.
- Pat the hair dry with a cotton towel or rag. Avoid rubbing the hair to prevent tangling. Let the hair air dry or use a blow dryer on a cool setting.
Deep condition your hair extensions regularly to keep them hydrated and soft. This will help maintain their natural shine and prevent dryness. Steps for Deep Conditioning:
- Apply a deep conditioning treatment to damp hair, distribute evenly..
- Cover the hair with a shower cap or plastic wrap to trap heat and help the treatment penetrate the hair shaft.
- Leave the treatment on for the recommended time, usually 20-30 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to remove all traces of the treatment.
- Pat the hair dry with a cotton towel or rag. Avoid rubbing the hair to prevent tangling. Let the hair air dry or use a blow dryer on a cool setting.
Sleeping with hair
It is important to protect your hair while sleeping. Wrap your hair in a silk or satin scarf or use a satin pillowcase. This prevents tangling and friction that causes damages. Never sleep with wet or damp hair. Feel free to have a look at our hair care products, caterig to your needs.
Styling hair
Always apply a heat protectant before heat styling. Alternatively, opt for heatless curlers like flexi rods to minimize your use of heat.
